i WAS BROUGHT UP IN A BODYSHOP. MY FATHERS! LESSON ONE ONLY USE BONDO ON A CAR WHEN THE CUSTOMER HAS SO MUCH $$$ TO DEAL WITH ON REQUSET ! I never use bondo just to fill a hole, only after metal has been welded inplace of the bad area . use rust prevenative primer always ! finish with basecoat / clearcoat PPG . Wet sand and buff afterward! Paint the car if you want to keep it awhile and also get better resale value. BONDO ALWAYS FALLS OUT IN AT LEAST ONE YEAR , PAINT WILL BUBBLE OUT IN THE FEW BAD SPOTS. DO IT RIGHT!
But what do i know , i work in a lumber yard and hardware store
doing house quotes all day. but i paint every car i own .
five SAAB's in the past . you could pay between $1500.00 to $2000.00
for good job .
