I heated up the bolt big time with a torch that I had to buy, and it still didn't come loose using my 2 footer bar with a 1/2 drive, so I had to go buy a larger, longer bar (a 3 footer with a 3/4 inch drive) along with a 5 foot long pipe, and after going at it (that is, bouncing up and down on the bar with my feet off the ground - i weigh about 200 lbs) it finally broke loose. WOW! So it cost me about $65 just to loosen that thing. Of course, now I have the tool to rebuild my b-engine in that is currently sitting in my '79 99 gl :-)
You should see the timing chain guides - VERY DEEP GROOVES! No wonder the chain was rattlin'. Now I can get the engine apart and ready for the machine shop. Yay!
