What parts are you talking about?
I don't know what an "air volumer" is, or even could be.
CIS has a fuel distributor/air flow meter (now I can't even recall the right names...) sitting on top of the air filter. There is a large rubber bellows/elbow that goes onto the air flow meter, and to the throttle body. The other part has the fuel lines on it.
What you may be describing is the lambda valve. CIS systems equipped with lambda have an oxygen (lambda) sensor in the exhaust manifold, an electronic box under the right front seat, and a lambda valve mounted to the left front inner fender, forward of the air flow meter. The input of this valve is connected to the control pressure of the fuel distributor. When the mixture is too rich, the Lambda system senses it, and causes the lambda valve to open, dumping fuel back into the fuel tank, lowering the control pressure, and leaning the mixture. The valve is, for all intents and purposes, a special type of D-Jetronic injector. Normally, the lambda valve will be pulsing.
The 99 manuals contain all of this information, so I'm not sure why you say they're not listed...
