Sport & winter are useless without the Aisin auto tranny from the 9-5 or 9-3, so that's not even an issue (they don't even exist in manual trans versions of T-anything). TCS, IIRC, is part of the Trionic system. ABS, yeah, it probably needs that speed sensing (but so does the T5...).
I don't disagree that the T7 would be more complex (not that either of them are easy), and have more hurdles to overcome, but the challenge is all part of the fun.
Having done a DI/APC transplant into a C900 (now that's really easy, once you have the parts, 'coz everything from a 9000 bolts up!), I looked at a Trionic diagram from a 9000, and it gave me pause. Trionic - in any incarnation - touches almost everything under the hood, and a lot of other things, too. That's a lot of new wiring, but it would certainly be a worthy challenge.
