I have no clue as to what brand bar is in my 75 EMS, but the mounting place sure sounds familiar. Mine have a Z-shaped bracket which threads into the shock mount and also is bolted through the bottom of the control arm. The problem I noticed was that the sway bar bracket used a coarser thread nut to attach to the shock mount. When I took the one side apart, it pulled the threads on the stud and I had to weld in new material and re-cut the threads. Some pictures are linked below.
Interesting enough, the sway bars and Konis were installed 19 years and only 14000 miles ago by the original owner. I did get to drive the car for a week before the snow started falling, but the handling sucked with the 165SR15 tires on it. My original intention was to keep the car stock and I planned on getting OEM size tires for it. I've since re-thought it, and plan on getting lower profiled tires in the spring to improve the handling.
