About a year ago, I was out changing my oil on either my '72 Saab 96 V4 or my '93 900 Turbo CE (i forgot which) but this person drives up to my lot, gets out of his car, walks up and says, "Hey, I have a 1979 Saab 99 GL 2-door sedan that's been sitting in my yard since 1988. It was running when I stopped driving it, but it needs clutch work. I drive by your property a lot and I see that you love older Saab's, since you have 5 900's and a 96 in the yard, and I would love for my 99 to go to someone who would appreciate it". Little did he know that the 99 GL 2-door sedan (no hatch) was the one Saab model that I was trying to find :-) So he gave me the car, but wanted $25 for the shop manual. Not a problem.
That doesn't happen every day.
Cool car! I recently completed cleaning and sealing the fuel tank, and I recently found an EMS rack for it, but first I hope to get her started real soon. It does turn over real nicely.
