HELP!!!......my '88 SPG was stolen a few weeks ago, Right out of the South Attleboro, Mass. MBTA commuter parking lot for the train station. Obviously it has not turned up. (After 5-7 days the cops say the chance of recovery is almost zero).
If anybody sees a really nice '88 SPG for sale or parts for sale in the Providence, RI or Boston, Mass area, let me know........I know that this is a shot in the dark but you never know
I also have an additional problem.....how to get a correct comparative value for the car from the insurance company.
Blue book value on the car is between $1,500 and $3,000. We all know that the big insurance company does not like to part with its money and I doubt that many of them participate in this web site. Any ideas on how to convince the appraiser of the value of the car? I have receipts of all the work I have done....exhaust, tires, brakes, interior. I need to convince the insurance company what the car is worth.
For me, the car is near replaceable. It was my baby and I had it for over ten years. It was an '88 with metallic gray exterior, dark gray interior and just hit 100,000 with no rust. This thing was cherry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
