Dean,
I work at the Warren Tech Center. I am a suspension engineer at the advanced chassis center. We work with portfolio to design the chassis architectures for future vehicles. All in all it is a good deal. Before becoming one of the General's men I work as an impact expert for Bell Labs in NJ. I grew up mostly in NYC. My degrees are in Mechanical engineering as well. Focused on strength of materials in my undergrad and dynamics in grad school.
I am a car nut. I restored/own a 1931 Ford Model A, 1970 Mustang, and a 1976 Mustnag II. OK no laughing about the last one, I inherited it from a friend's grandfather. It only has 33,000 miles on it... Since I was a kid I have been surrounded by cars. The house I grew up in is actually built around the car that my father owned when he was a kid. I owned a shop for a couple of years while in NYC. Michigan sucks...but houses are cheap enough that I bought one with a five plus car garage for my toys... But damn, it was cold this morning.
