Recently picked up my 2001 9-3 se in steele grey. 'Was a victim of an f150 pickup making a sudden u turn without him seeing me on his right.
I tried getting out of the way (almost did) with a quick look around and some turbo but, he caught my driver's side wheel well with his right bumper.
'Took it to my dealer (Sells Porche/Audis as well) who subs it out to a guy here. Met with him and he gave me a choice of ordering and replacing the whole rear panel (Involves cutting and welding) or, repairing the damage on the existing panel. His suggestion was to repair it rather than replacing it.
The damage is not that severe (The curve around the wheel well is crumpled and scraped.
I felt comfortable because the dealer reccommended him (We met at the dealer with the service manager) and he does their high end Porche work.
Any opinions on whether to repair or, replace?
