I did these calculations before I bought my Saab in December and thought I'd share it with people in this forum.

Using friday's exchange rate : 1 cdn = 0.6676 us

Canada 2001 93 SE 5S MSRP = $43480
This including freight and air $1090, metallic paint and both front and rear heat seats. Everything is standard in one price. Does US cars come with rear heated seats?

Cdn MSRP 43480 = 29207 US
Dealer Invoice is 37940 Cdn = 25328 US

To equip the same US car
MSRP = 32595 (48824 cdn!)
+ Delivery = 575
+ Front Heat seats = 450
+ Metallic Paint = 450
Total = $34070

Convert to Cdn = $51033 ... unreal!!!

Of course this is all MSRP and the real take home price will be different. It is interesting to see that the Canada MSRP prices are drastically lower than our counterparts in the US and why we don't have any incentives other than the 0.9% finance rates! Any other comments?
