Thanks for the reply Tom. Yes, it is a little disconcerting to step on the brake and feel nothing for a second.
When I spoke to my dealer about it, he was quite aware of the problem but didn't know a fix. He told me that Saab was looking into it. I had asked him to recommend a better brake pad, and while he didn't have one to recommend he did tell me to avoid Kevlar brake pads.
The part number you provide (#50-62-211), do you know the manufacturer's name?
