The Redline probably has a similar operating characteristic to the Hallman. The Hallman worked fine for me until the cold weather. Then I hit fuel cuts all of the time. There are two reasons for this. One: I have my controller pressure tap at the throttle body, above the trottle plate, not on the compressor's hose barb. This creates a time lag. By the time the pressure can be seen at the throttle body, it is too late for the controller to stoke the wastegate and the pressure overshoots. Two: in cold weather my boost comes on very fast.
I fitted a TurboXS unit, because it has a variable bleed orifice, as well as the adjustment for the spring pressure. I tried to tune it last fall, but got stopped short with snow tires etc. Having two adjustments is tricky, at least for my objectives which are in hind sight, perhaps unrealistic. A guy in Germany fitted the TurboXS unit last fall and was pleased.
I believe that I can create a pressure tap, after the intercooler which will eliminate much of my controllers time lagged view of whats happening. Everything else being equal, the pressure tap should be at the throttle body, as that is where it counts. With a controller at the turbo, at high RMS's the boost pressure will drop because of intercooler pressure drop etc. So I will be seeking middle ground, or a pressure tap somewhere inbetween.
Your install should take about 15 - 30 minutes, depending how fussy you get about hose routing and securing etc. Adjustments may take another 1/2 hour. Don't be scared by the fuel cuts. They are startling but harmless.
You will end up getting/wanting as much boost as the config will allow. Don't forget the other mods. High boost and restitive exhaust and intakes with these external controllers will take you towards knocking conditions.
