"It would be fast, but it would also become somthing of a handful to handle."
Ain't that the truth. After only three days of ownership, I'm finding the torque steer in the 205 to be amazing. I can only imagine the Viggen. Growing up, I had a mentor who owned a Porsche repair shop. He always talked about how the 930 swung wide when you accelerated. The SE seems to do the same, in reverse. I don't dare throw down the throttle in third or fourth without both hands on the wheel. Don't get me wrong, it's a freaking BLAST to drive - the first car I've bought in my life that I have nary a single regret over buying (although I think the factory speakers may not be a part of my family for too long - they're screaming, "I can't take it - replace me with some MB Quarts!!!"). But personally, with their next generation HOT and Viggen models, I think that Saab would do well to make AWD if not standard, a real focus point of them - get all that power down to the road, and not into building up my arms! :)
BTW, Saab, if you're listening - PLEASE DON'T KILL the 5-door 9-3 in the next generation! That's why I BOUGHT a Saab. It's fun, it's fast, it's functional, and best of all, it's not another 3 series SEDAN!!!
MHO,
Wes
