A few years ago, a USA car magazine tested several makes of cars, vans, and trucks and found 3% speedometer error about average and errors as much as 10% were not uncommon.
On my 1998 900SET, the speedometer error is about +1 to +2% (measured several times against Highway mile markers for over 30+ miles each time) with the factory tires.
