It's actually quite simple and no it's not too good to be true. Turbo lag it when you floor it and are waiting for the boost to build and deliver power. The Dawes SBC spools the turbo faster since the stock system isn't bleeding off boost (especially in 1st and 2nd). Yes it will work on an auto tranny. I don't know about emissions but the only time it really is working is on accelleration. Your gas mileage will go down a little. It will take 5-10 minutes to install and about 20-30 minutes to do test runs to dial it in. After that you can take it off and put back on as you please and will only that a few minute either way.
Go for it. You won't be sorry.
