The TSB did indicate lube and replace knob as the first attempt. This is an attempt by Saab to save money on parts and labor. However, most dealers have caught on that this doesn't ever work for long...the full replacement is necessary every time. Certainly, RJB's dealer should have gone to full replacement long ago (seven knobs?). This is the only reason I bring it up.
