I traded my 1995 Mustang GT convertible 2 weeks ago for a 2001 9-3 SE. I was active on many of the Mustang boards. I can tell you without a shade of doubt that you didn't encounter the average Mustang owner. My car was, what I consider, fairly well modified (6lb. supercharger, full exhaust, 3.73 gears, 30lb injectors, custom dyno burned computer chip, and a host of minor mods). I consider the Mustang enthusiast one of the most knowledgable, when it comes to performance, of all the marques. Most could name at least 5 brands of springs that would fit their car. To generalize all Mustang owners as dumb rednecks is wrong. I'm from the South and no, I don't watch wrestling and to me, Black label makes me think of Johnny Walker (although I prefer Gin, make mine Bombay Sapphire). Are there some idiot Mustang owners? Of course, but the average ones are usually of at least average intelligence or better.
