Your test drive was certainly a rare situation. Own 3 Saab's, 900/9000/and Viggen - safe, reliable and fun. When I test drove a Viggen, the dumb rep was clueless and said it was called a Viggen because it had lots of vigor!
As the saying goes, don't shoot the messenger. In the case of your Saab experience on a test drive, don't judge the whole crop by one bad apple.
Prior to buying our 9000, we actually took it home for the weekend and drove it like we intended to after a purchase. This was a NH Saab dealer but it was testament to the caliber of relationship the dealer was looking to build with a new customer, to say nothing of the confidence it showed in the car. Try that with any other car and see what happens!
