Hi, Carlos! Sorry for the delay (today was a very busy day).
As for the pictures I mentioned before, they were of the work I did installing the an amp to drive the door speakers. I didn't take any pictures of my installation of the door speakers because that followed exactly what Richard Bevan discussed in the 900/9-3 Audio Guide. I really didn't do anything differently there so I didn't take any pictures of that part. One reason the pictures from the amp installation are not up yet for people to look at is that some of the pictures were taken with a digital camera and some were taken later with a 35mm camera and I have not had time to scan those second photos yet. Then I also have to find a site to host the pictures and I have not had time to look into that yet either. (I hope to get to all that along with a detailed write-up when I have some time between Christmas and New Year's Day.) I have mentioned various parts of the process before, though, in various posts on this board. If you clic on the link above of "more from Mark Anderson" you should see some of them. (Or search this board for "speakers" or "MTX" to find my posts on the speakers and the amp.)
Don't worry about disconnecting the head unit. You will not need to enter a code to reconnect it. This is not needed on the 9-3 (as was necessary on the NG900). I disconnected my head unit many times before and during installing the speakers and the amp. Once you have pulled it forward from the dash using DIN pullers, just unplug the connectors on the back. (You may have to push up the windshield wiper arm to get it out of the way of the head unit as you pull it out.) You also do not have to enter a code if you disconnect the battery. I had the battery disconnected for over an hour (maybe two) when I installed the wiring for my amp. No problem.
