I would like to know what diagnosis was performed via TECH 2?
You said you were going to the dealer and have them put the Tech2 on your car. Otherwise, it's guesswork.
I posted to you the Tech 2 could take snapshots of your engine while running.
You replied to me that your current mechanic did not have Tech 2, and therefore you would have to pay money at your SAAB dealer for the diagnosis. DO IT!!!
So, what were the results from TECH 2 on your car?? Get the idea??????
Typically, the car will spark knock under load--while accelerating. Unusual to read spark knock under de-accel.
You are using premium 92/93 grade fuel, right ?
Understanding the basic T5--the SPARK PLUGS are the knock sensors, if preignition is detected, the timing and/or mixture is changed, and boost is reduced.
UPGRADE your mechanic to one with TECH 2. Save yourself a lot of time and hassle.
