the main value of a certifed saab is the extended warranty that it comes with an extra 3 years(i don't remember if its, 2 3 or 4 ) and or 100k miles over the standard 4year 48 k original warranty. the extra cost the dealer tacks on the price should be compared to the price of the cost of purchasing a third party extended warranty coverage. there are criteria from saab that a car must meet to be certified including having had regular recommended maintenance intervals. i am not sure what all is in the 150 point checklist but hopefully these vehicles have been well cared for and should be trouble free for a reasonable time after purchase. i have seen on edmunds the value for a certified 99 93 as approx $1000 although a third party comprehensive warranty policy seemed to run more like 1500-`1800 for 100k coverage. good luck
