I live in Belgium and I can confirm that pedestrians are fair game. As are cyclists, old people, pets and, especially, other drivers. I thought Dublin and Madrid were bad before I came here. That's why people here don't eat while they drive - there's no surer way of getting yourself maimed. That and the fact we only work 37 hours a week so we have time to eat properly.
