Anybody have any experience replacing the OEM 15" viking aeros with 17" wheels and Sumitomo HTR 215/45/17 . Tire Rack indicates these tires are superior to my Pirelli sport Veloce 6000s in dry, wet and snow. Given recent trend of snow once a week. Really interested to hear if the 7.7 snow rating at Tire Rack is reality based.
Also, Tire Rack has alimited selection of rims to fit the base 9-3 and the rims I see do not really grab me. Always like the OEM Aero three spokers but the alloy is so damn soft, it tends to dent easily in the 17" size.
Anybody recommend some sharp wheels that won't make my SAAB look a tad too east coast urban or west coast punk? I am afterall a conservative guy who likes performance but not at the expense of being noticed by punk racers or the local constabulary.
SAABing in St Louis.
Also-what brand or style is most durable for winter pot holes????
Any feed back would be appreciated.
