I have an '01 9-3 SE 5 door and find that with the rear facing infant seat (not the newborn) behind either seat results in the corresponding front seat having to be at the full forward position (not comfortable). With the rear facing seat in the middle of the back seat (safest place in the car) I had to move the driver's seat up by about 1/2 inch in order for a clean fit.
