I just traded my 9-3 in for a 9-5 wagon. I had all the same complaints T.O.Saaber pointed out. The 9-5 wagon is wider and has an extra 5" of leg room in the back seat. While that doesn't sound like a lot, functionally it is.
I have one daughter in a forward-facing convertable seat and another 10-week old daughter in the base/carrier, rear-facing. Everyone is comfy.
On another note, I actually feel safer in the 9-5. It has that vault-like feel to it that the 9-3 lacked. It remains poised over bad road where the 9-3 was a bit of a handful.
