Sorry to hear about your bad luck. My DI went suddenly to south at 64t km's (40t miles). I was crusing at 90km/h and car just lost power and electricity. When DI got broke it also destroyed cat because unburnt gas went into the hot cat. Eventhough my car was out of warranty (Saab has two year warranty in Europe) dealer agreed to replace the cat at their expense 1640 € = $1500!

Saab service advisor told me that Saab changed supplier of the DI cassette in the beginning of the year 2002. Since then quality of the DI cassette has been a lot better according to Saab service advisor.
