T7 is an improvement over T5 unless you want to do some mods. T5 is much easier to work with.
The '99s have a couple of problems that you'll want to check into before you buy one. The heater box tends to bind, and that can be an expensive repair. On the SEs, with ACC, the symptom is that the temperature and airflow do not adjust when you select a different setting, and you may hear a clicking noise as the motors try to turn the adjustments but can't. Test them out, and check into their repair history. Search this board for heater box issues...the word "heater" should do. Most posts relate to the manual climate control cars, but the repair procedure is similar.
The other problem on the '99s is with the head gasket seal. On some cars, the head gasket was improperly torqued at the factory. If the problem is caught soon enough, the bolts can just be retorqued, and the problem is fixed. Ask about this before buying one.
