I'm a fully-committed-omygoshIlovethiscar-Viggen-enthusiast. But I'll temper that and say that in your case, an '02-03 manual trans 9-5 Aero's the way to go. Part of the Viggen's allure is it's rarity--you could fit all of them ever made on the lot of a single dealership. Another part is it's crazed enthusiasm (in lieu of finesse). I get the impression neither of those really matter to you. Sounds like you'd be much happier on a daily basis with the extra roominess of the 9-5 interior. And the Aero is nearly as fast as the Viggen anyway, and can get the job done with less drama. I agree BMW's are overpriced. The IS300 is probably very good, but not as roomy as the Aero. And hey, it's not a Saab.
