Hi, I'm from the 9000 board. I've driven 9000's for almost 300k miles and have managed to do most of the maintenance, but don't know squat about Saab's other models. A friend who knows how much I love Saab's called today wondering if a 1999 9-3 auto with 85k mi, asking price $5000 is a good deal. I told him to ask on this board, and he may, but I'm curious. Is that a good car? How about that price? I know I wouldn't buy a 9000 with auto, but how are the 9-3's? Is the 1999 a good model year? I assume it is turbo, but can the lower horsepower models be increased like the 9000? Any other insight is appreciated.
