In the summer, the boost pressure on my car always drops a little after it reaches a peak, but not as low as middle of the yellow. It drops from just inside the red, to just inside the yellow if I keep my foot on the gas. I think this is normal, because the efficiency of the turbo drops quickly as heat builds up in the intake, and because the intercooler cannot do as good a job in the summer as in winter. I would try testing at night, to see if there is a change.
Besides what was already mentioned, check the vacuum hose which goes from the throttle body to the fuel pressure regulator if not replaced already. Another possibility is the BPC (boost pressure control) valve or one of the three hoses between the BPC and the intake, turbo and wastegate.
As for the BPV, depending on which one you have there is a spec for the pressure it takes to start to open it, full open, etc. There are posts here on testing it.
Or search for "Diverter Valve Mini Comparison" on the Performance board.
