Hello
Could you describe the problem in more detail?
The sequence for the hydraulic top open cycle is:
1. Manually open the front latch
2. Press button
3. The 5th bow latch opens (electric motor and two latches in the tonneau cover)
4. Raise 5th bow (also operates the rear window)
5. Raise tonneau cover (the function includes opening the tonneau cover latches
6. Close access flaps (same electric motor as 5th bow latch, the flaps closes on the tonneau cover)
7. Lower 5th bow
8. Lower roof
9. Lower tonneau cover (latches actuate at the end of the movement)
It could be the 5th bow latches that troubles your car. Thene the 5th bow can raise and the soft top failure activates. There will then be pressure in the hydraulic lines but since the 5th bow is latched it can*t move. This might be visual in the way you describe.
Sadly there is no manual release for the 5th bow latch. It can be checked and operated with the Tech 2. Check the latch maybe that helps.
Hope it helps
