P0300 Random misfire Posted by Keith [Email] (#1462) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Keith) on Sun, 18 Jun 2006 21:23:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello. Some may remeber me from several weeks ago with a hasitation issues and P0304 code. Also I had found a couple of vacuum hose issues. Well, I replaced the DI and vacuum hoses (and PCV valve) and everything was great. THe car seemed to run better then before I started having the problems.
Today however, the check engine light came on. Coinsidently I was driving near an autozone, so I had the code check at came back as P0300 "random misfires". I have read may post relating to this, but all have been associated with performance problems. In my case the car is running great. I had the code cleared, but it came back within 3 miles.
I am guessing that it is related to the two things that I replaced. Either the DI is bad out of the box (less likely) or a vacuum hose issue (a hose that I replaced came off or something of the sort). I did not get a chance to poke around the hood yet, but wanted to get some thoughts from those that know better. What would cause the fault, but have little effect on performance (at this point).
