I've made an appointment with my indie to get the thermostat replaced on Monday. He said he'd do it for $50-60. By the time I get the part and the blue coolant (really hard to get around here), I'll have spent half of that. So I might as well let him do it and make a mess in his shop rather than my garage.
In a potentially related side story, I got a "low coolant" warning on the SID this morning. I haven't seen any drips, but the overflow tank was low. I'm hoping there was some air trapped in the system after the heater core job...
