Something you may want to check...
My 2001 had a tube for the brake vacuum booster running underneath that plastic shroud over the engine. The ribs molded into the underside of that shroud were cutting thru the tube, shown with a red circle in the top picture. That tube provides the vacuum power for the brake booster.
Mine's a manual tranny, I suspect that configuration of tubing may be completely different if you have an auto tranny?
I noticed this before it had cut all the way thru. I fixed it by filling in JBWeld between the ribs under that shroud. Now they present a flat surface against that tube instead of a sharp rib.
