electric, no hydraulics. Google "saab tonneau motor" for some links to Saab service manuals. Does your top make any kind of noise while "deflating" There are electric motors and gears beside each rear seat, could these be stripped? The parts prices are crazy BTW, so junkyards and Ebay wil be your friends,
