Thanks for the info guys! Looks like it's the waste gate actuating rod (I looked under the hood and some little rod isn't attached to something - and it's attached to a little cylindrical thing on the turbo housing). I'll probably just drop it off at my mechanic's place so he can take care of it (too cold to work outside).
