Hardwiring radar detector in '98 Saab 900 Posted by Paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Paul) on Sun, 4 Oct 2009 18:04:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi - I want to hardwire a radar detector in our 1998 900S. In my Honda Civic, I used an "add a circuit" that plugs into a slot in the fuse box - easy-peasy.
In the Saab, there's no space to use one of these - the cover sits right on top of the fuses.
I'm planning to tap into the wire for the cigarette lighter, but I'm wondering if anyone else has any tips for good wires to access for this, and how to get to them. Especially since this is my wife's daily driver, I want to ensure a nice clean install with a minimum of digging around and removing interior panels.
Thanks in advance!
