My 1995 900S has developed the not-uncommon gasoline leak when filled to first click. I understand that there is some kind of sensor or connector right at the tank filler neck that eventually breaks and unless one fills 3/4 or less at a time, a little gasoline will leak.

I recall reading somewhere that there is some access panel that allows access to the area without dropping the tank. Is this the case? I would think this should be right where the suspension 'towers' are, under the rear right speaker. I.e. on the side of the vehicle at the other side of the antenna.

Is this the case or am I dreaming and the tank will need to come out for this to be repaired?
