900S cassette too happy to eject MP3 adaptor

I have a frustrating situation with my 1995 900S ejecting the MP3 cassette adaptor I use to listen to my MP3 player. There are days where it will not work at all (insert - autoreverse - clang - eject) and times where it works fine for an hour or two. Brand of adaptor seems to not matter... Sometimes a bump on the road will eject it.
Is there any way I can convince the thing to NOT eject the tape, either bump induced or otherwise? Any modification to the cassette adaptor itself?
I don't plan to keep the car for more than another year or so and I don't want to invest in more 'permanent' ways like FM antenna line-in plug... Any suggestions?
