oil seepage from header gasket seam?

I've got a '97 900S 2.3L non-turbo and noticed that there has been very minor oil seepage from the header block around the seam over the past few years. Most of it appears as residue on the front right part of the block (when looking into the hood from the front). Indy mechanic says that's perfectly normal for a car of this age. Any thoughts? Should I be worried about header gasket becoming blown?
