John, I'm getting smoking on startup, mainly when cold outside and it's using about a quart every 2k. Went through the symptoms here with the group about 2 months ago and figured it was worth a try. I've got the seals with the complete head gasket kit I was saving for future trouble anyway and the car has >160k on it. I've done the head gasket on other Saabs and timing chain components, just have never done the valve seals myself.
