From my experience a worn/damaged intermediate-shaft or worn CV-driver "cup" will cause harsh vehicle vibrations at all times /during heavy accelerations or /on quick deceleration (remove foot quickly at high speed cruising).
take some time to better isolate the condition at which the "shakey steering" symptom is most prevalent before you start swapping axle shafts or whateverelse.
