They had problems with the machine that torqued the head bolts on the B204 engines from sometime in 97 to 99 so #10 cylinder head bolt didn't get torqued to spec.
How it went undetected for so long I have no clue.
But it was also about the same time as they went to the new style head bolt which in itself is an inferior bolt compare to the pre 97 ones.
Those bolts were used up to late 01 and kept giving us problems but at least the #10 bolt was torqued to the same spec as the other 9 with the B205/235 engines.
It might be that your headgasket has already withered away and will fail sometime at cylinder #4 but you have at least done all you can now short of replacing it.
