I went this route for access. Took about ten minutes of dremel work. The section I cut was much smaller. also, the check valve fuel line goes right to the fuel filter, right in front of the tank. It would be much simpler to just replace the whole assembly ( check valve, fuel line, banjo conntector) then to play with brittle plastic line.
