Congrats, I own a 02 vigggen myself they are superlative, rare, great cars. yes, i would rebuild it to( mostly) factory spec w/ the usual genuine Saab mods, steering rack brace, six point brace, thicker rear anti-sway bar , etc adds fr Nick T. ( if you have not done this already eh ? ) Koni shocks, lowered springs, a mild stage one tune. put sticky summer performance tires on it ( i like Dunlop star sport direzza II- a bargain ! ) it will enhance the ownership, driving ,performance experience and optimize the car, increase its value.(especially to YOU !) you can save the stock parts,( I did, DO, so, if some future purist is insisting total stock configuration. (weird that, frankly ) there are SO many great, proven ways to improve a Viggen! I've acquired parts and have plans to do some sane, sensible modifications, prob nothing that couldn't be undone and add some parts fr other MY saabs eg the euro 9-3 headlights(you can use the USA glass lenses )they have motors that electrically aim up and down, a self-dimming mirror, ( maybe fitting a front anti sway fr a 9-3 euro only diesel ? -it's thicker should make a difference.( For the full effect, double up on the rear roll bar.?) RE front roll bar from an og93 diesel. Its 26mm as opposed to a standard 19mm )? good idea? by using a euro only diesel bell housing you can fit a later 9-3, 6-speed manual trans! , fit the larger, 9-5 rear brakes, -disc's, calipers- (a common Viggen upgrade) et all. regards, Neil
