Philips, OSRAM and PIAA all make H4 LED bulbs but they are not street legal and the output is not anything special. The high beams are particularly a problem according to available reviews.
I put together my "dream" setup a couple years back using 50W HID bi-xenon projectors and halogen pencil beams. I had wires and relay harnesses going everywhere, heat was a concern, and independent aiming was tricky. The major issue was that vacuum forming the headlight lens didn't work out. I might have powered through it, but I would have had to address some of those other issues and I did end up limiting the foreground output quite a bit to keep glare under control. It wasn't worth it.
The factory headlights are actually quite good. The reflector and lens are large. I went with ecode lenses, a premium halogen advertised for distance and spent some time with cleaning and aiming. I don't find the output lacking in any conditions. BTW, the fogs don't get enough credit, they are great for seeing the fog lines on the road and when glare is an issue due to precipitation.
There are other topics to discuss such as how your eye works with night vision, output compared to other cars on the road, glare on road markers and signs, etc. Once you start tinkering, you'll run into some serious drawbacks very quickly.
You could put something in the upper grill...
