$34.00 for either one, you were close. You can look when you get your car back to see whether you have a hex bolt or the new one.
Replacing both, and a new belt?
When I picked mine up, I was told that I was the third person to get the exact same parts that day, and that was at 11AM. I think than these bearings go dry, and that cold weather might take things over the edge.
I took mine apart this weekend. Both were dry and spun very freely, and not quietly. I put some moly grease, very little, and some synthetic oil in them. The top one rebuilt very well. The lower one's seals had brass in the seal, instead of steel, and it deformed under light pressure, so it was very difficult to replace the seal without it bending.
When these were taken apart, there was no visible sign of any lubrication! As the lower seal pully's seal is now imperfect, as as the top pully spins to very very fast, I decided to get new ones and not temp fate.
I had not had any problems with them, after 114000 miles. But I had just made up a nice tool for the tensioner, and had it blue'd and oiled and one thing led to another. I got the belt slack and gave them a spin. "Too free" I thought, "can't feel any lub there".
