Thanks. I was afraid that I would be on my own.
I just got back from rummaging through my collection of bit an pieces. I found a torx bit, sawed off of a socket arrangement, that I used to tighen up the manifold on an IROC where there was no room. Perhaps this is a GM conspiracy? And I have the strange little tool that I used on that same job 10 years ago. It is a wrench with a 1/4" hex socket built into the wrench, which picks up the torx bit. The 1/4" hex thing is right inside the tool, so that it acts like a 6 point box end wrench with ratchet action.
So I will get to use the new hardware. Wrench is short though. It will not be easy to get it tight enough.
