Feedback on New Tires for my 98 900T (long message)

With winter approaching, I figured I'd better get rid of the OEM Michelin Pilot MXM's that I was able to squeeze 39K miles out of. Even when the Michelins were new, they became downright dangerous in even the slightest wintery road conditions, but I kept them because we seldom see a lot of snow here in VA and their dry road traction and "feel" was excellent. In the past year though, the Michelins began to occasionally hydroplane in moderate rain, which was a signal that time was running out on their usefulness. So I did a ton of research and eventually decided on the Pirelli P7000 SuperSports. I noticed a big difference from the first time I drove on the Pirellis (on dry pavement), they were terrific. I feared that I might get more road noise from them, but there was no noticeable difference from the Michelins. The Pirellis handle superb. I've had them just over a month now, and they continue to perform well above my expectations. They're much better in the rain than the Michelins ever were. I was really anxious about replacing the EOM tires with an alternative brand especially one that costs so much less, but I am so far convinced that these Pirellis are BETTER for my Saab's performance than the more costly Michelins. Sorry for the long message -- just thought I'd try to be of help to others facing the same dilemma that I had. We may get a bit of snow tonight or tomorrow here in VA, so I'll see how the Pirellis measure up (of course these low-profile tires aren't intended to be snow grabbers, but any tire is an improvement over the Michelins in snow).
