Hi Stacey,
I just put my 635 in on Xmas... the easiest way is to take out the 3 small screws which hold the speaker cover down (the Torx screwdriver can be found in the spare tire tool kit). Also take out the steel post onto which the little trunk "cover" snaps onto (you know, the little stiff board which hangs down in the trunk so no one can see inside the trunk when its closed).
Once you take out the 3 screws and the post (use the Torx driver to get the post out) and pry up the speaker cover, you can pretty easily pull back the liner and see the CD changer cord. It should be held in place by a little cable tie...
carefuly cut the cable tie, and make a slit in the liner to pass the cable through the carpet. Make the cut with a razor blade, in an "x" shape. I made mine a good 2" by 2" long, don't worry the carpet hides the cut really well, its REALLY stiff carpet.
Once you pass the cable through, go ahead and hook it up to the cd player, and pop a few cd's in to make sure it all works. Also, don't forget to move the little buttons on the side of the cd player to designate wether it will be playing veritcally (which is how I mounted mine) or horizontaly (spelling).
So, if it all works, cool. Take the 2 small L shaped brackets, mounted them to the cd player... Place the cd player where you want it to be on the carpet... w/ a razor, slice a small hole into the carpet... I advise that once the hole is sliced, you take the steel rod part of the Torx driver (the black handle can be pulled off), and stick it into the hole in the carpet while you can still see where it is. Push the steel rod in and out of the hole a few times to make it a bit bigger (and round) so that when you place the 2 steel plates with the studs (bolts) under the carpet, the bolts will pass easily through the holes. Also, on the steel plate that you place towards the rear of the car, you have to snap off about an inch of the steel plate (where the dotted line is). You can do this with pliers (be careful not to cut your hands, the steel edges are a bit sharp). So, put the 2 steel plates under the carpet, pass the bolts through, put the cd player back in place, and screw on the butterfly nuts... put the speaker cover/trim back in place, the 3 screws and the steel post. Voila. You should be all set.
Sorry if this was way too long...
I hope it helps...
